Ben Affleck made a big request of Jennifer Lopez before reuniting with her: keep their relationship off social media… a demand he did not meet.
The actor revealed his privacy request in his wife’s new Amazon Prime documentary, “The Greatest Love Story Never Told”… which puts their entire relationship under scrutiny, making his confession hilarious. Ben initially wanted J Lo to keep their rekindled romance private.
He goes on to say, “Getting back together, I said, ‘Listen, one of the things I don’t want is a relationship on social media.'” However, he recognized he wasn’t being fair, given Jen’s extensive use of social media and hundreds of millions of followers.
Ben claims he surrendered after thinking about it, adding, “It’s sort of like, you’re gonna marry a boat captain and you go, ‘Well, I don’t like the water.'” BA concluded by adding, “We’re just two people with different perspectives trying to learn to compromise.”
Of course… Bennifer originally met in 2002, but they broke up permanently in 2004… or so we thought at the time. They reconnected almost 20 years later and resumed their relationship.

According to TMZ, the old flames renewed their romance in 2021 and married in a grandiose ceremony in Georgia the following year. Since then, they have been inseparable.
While Ben claims to have changed his mind about not using social media, Jenny appears to have at least partially obeyed his initial desires, as he only appears on her social media sites on occasion.
In fact, Jennifer revealed in her documentary that her husband isn’t a fond of the spotlight, but he served as her inspiration for her ninth studio album, “This Is Me…Now.” So he was front and center for this endeavor, whether he liked it or not, and he appears to be fine with it.
Ben may have been a hesitant participant… but he certainly contributed to the finished product, as it was his idea to capture every single behind-the-scenes moment.
He may not enjoy all of the attention, but everyone does love him.
