It’s no secret that Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg aren’t on the best of terms, especially after their widely expected fight failed to materialize last year.

We may never see the Twitter/X head and the Meta CEO face battle in the ring, but Musk is still taking jabs at his adversary on social media. If you were online today, you may have seen some outages on Instagram and Facebook, which left some users dissatisfied and unable to share material or contact with loved ones.

Thankfully, things have returned to normal as of publication, although they weren’t before the Tesla CEO hurled shade at Zuckerberg. “If you’re reading this post, it’s because our servers are working,” he tweeted mid-morning Tuesday (March 5). Meanwhile, anyone attempting to browse the latest posts on Meta-owned apps was unable to refresh their feed or add their own content.

Minutes later, Musk shared a meme from Dreamworks’ Madagascar, in which one leader penguin (X) issues commands to three others. Below is a post from Andy Stone, who writes, “We’re aware that users are having difficulty accessing our services. “We are currently working on this.” Though it’s unclear whether the engineer also handles the official X account, they joined in on the fun, tweeting “We know why you’re all here [right now]” first thing this morning.

Since his rocky takeover, Elon Musk has delegated much of his duties at Twitter/X to other tech professionals. Of course, this does not imply he is no longer one of the platform’s most popular users. Aside from his murky message to Zuckerberg today, the South African became viral for his response to Kanye West’s rocket-related internet comments.
