The updated home page of the Apple TV app, which features a sidebar to make it easier to access your favorite episodes, movies, and channels, was announced on Monday.
The redesigned interface differs slightly from the old tile-based design that imitated a huge iPhone screen. Important areas like Apple TV+ content, sports programming, your content library, and other subscription channels—like Max, Disney+, or Prime Video—are consolidated in the sidebar. With this new appearance, the apps on the iPad, iPhone, and Apple TV box have all been updated.

According to Eddy Cue, senior vice president of services at Apple, “the redesigned Apple TV app makes it easier than ever for users to watch the shows, movies, and sports they love through an intuitive interface that brings content to the forefront.” “Our goal is to make sure users always have their favorites at their fingertips with so much content available to watch.”
The shift is a result of numerous services trying to establish themselves as “hubs” for content watching. By combining various subscription services including Max, Crunchyroll, and Paramount+ into its app, Amazon’s Prime Video Channels has become a one-stop shop for a variety of streamers. Apple TV is attempting to accomplish the same thing by combining many into a single interface.

A “profiles” option will also be available in the sidebar of smart TVs, enabling users to navigate between other users’ profiles and their own customized collection of TV series, films, and suggestions.
Additionally, the interface prominently displays its MLS Season Pass add-on in the sidebar.
Additionally, Apple stated that customers will be sent to the Apple TV app via the iTunes Store app on the iPhone and iPad as well as the iTunes Movies and TV Shows applications for the Apple TV 4K and Apple TV HD.
