Cori Broadus was only 24 when she went through this horrible event.

Cori Broadus, Snoop Dogg’s youngest and only daughter, had a stroke in mid-January of this year. She described it as “severe” and said it was absolutely unexpected. After receiving medical treatment, she was able to update her fans and publicly complain about the situation. “I started breaking down crying when they told me.” She continued: “Like I’m only 24, what did I do in my past to deserve all of this.” To say the musician and entrepreneur’s life has been challenging is an understatement. She has had lupus, a chronic autoimmune disease, since she was six years old. That alone is a difficult thing to go through, especially when your body is never constantly 100%.

It goes beyond her physical afflictions, however. Cori attempted suicide in 2021 owing to her severe depression and mental health issues. Overall, Cori has had a lot to deal with, although she has improved since the stroke. According to AllHipHop, she and Snoop Dogg recently spoke candidly with Us Weekly about that day and the events that followed. The rapper extraordinaire seemed to be doing his best to avoid thinking about it. “It’s hard for me to revisit that day,” he told me. “Anyone who knows me knows my daughter is my kryptonite.” Cori stated, “I think it really scared everyone.” A stroke is not something to take lightly. It drew my family and I closer together, making us realize that anything can happen in the blink of an eye.”

It especially rattled her to her core, given how well she felt before. “I was celebrating at a party, and then the next day, I’m in the hospital,” she explained. As a father, Snoop couldn’t be more proud of Cori. Toward the end of the interview, he expressed his undying support for her and her willingness to be transparent about her issues.

“Cori is very candid about her difficulties with mental health and her stroke. Most individuals would be uncomfortable revealing their stories, but she wants to help them by demonstrating that they are not alone.” Hearing it, you can tell how much they care about one other. Overall, we continue to wish the best for Snoop, Cori, and their loved ones as she grows stronger by the day.
