President Biden and a Donald Trump follower mocked one other before POTUS donned a red MAGA hat, with comments about Biden’s age and Trump’s conspiracies.
A new video from the President’s viral moment in Pennsylvania captures the build-up to Biden temporarily donning a Trump 2024 cap… as well as some fun banter between Biden and a local man.
Biden gives the man one of his own caps decorated with the presidential seal, and the man begs POTUS to autograph the hat, joking, “You remember your name?”
The President plays along, responding… “I don’t remember my name … I’m slow.” The man tells Biden he is “an old fart,” and Biden agrees, saying, “I know you wouldn’t know about that.”
Biden signs the cap and tells the man he’ll need the Trump 2024 hat he’s wearing… and the audience cheers for Biden to wear it.
After stating he’s “not going that far,” Biden puts the Trump hat on top of a cap he’s already wearing, then removes it a few seconds later after smiling and earning cheers from the audience.

The man tells Biden, “I’m proud of you now”… and they shake hands.
It’s a joyful and healthy engagement, and the White House says it reinforces Biden’s message about the value of togetherness.
The man’s daughter, who recorded the video, claims Biden kept the Trump cap following the meeting. She claims that her father enjoys joking and having fun, regardless of whether he is with the President or not.
