Barack Obama believes President Joe Biden’s chances of winning a second term are dwindling and that he should withdraw from the campaign… but, oddly, he is not saying this to Biden directly.
According to the Washington Post, Obama has been advising allies that his former vice president should step down, and he has received calls from Democratic power players concerned about Biden’s chances of defeating Donald Trump.
While many Democratic fundraisers and an increasing number of elected people have called for Biden’s resignation, particularly in light of Wednesday’s COVID diagnosis, it’s unusual for Obama to say so… considering their strained old bromance.

Remember, back in 2015, Obama encouraged Biden not to run for President, claiming that his odds against Hillary Clinton were slim.
Notably, Obama did not believe Biden was in the right mental state to campaign after his son Beau died of brain cancer in 2015 — and Joe eventually did not seek the Democratic presidential nomination, citing his “grieving process” as the reason.
The disclosure came just days after Biden officially announced his candidacy for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2020, and he’s still doing so four years later.
But, as we all know, the stakes are particularly high this time around, especially given his catastrophic debate performance against Trump a few weeks ago.
Critics have urged him to withdraw from the race, citing concerns about his mental health and cognitive ability, but Joe is adamant about staying in the game.
