The artist hinted at a diagnosis in a social media message earlier this week, but has since confirmed the disease.
“In 2022, I was first diagnosed with Lupus SLE (systemic lupus erythematosus, the more technical name for lupus) and then a rare T-cell lymphoproliferative disorder,” she posted to Instagram. “Both are currently being managed or in remission, and both will most likely remain with me for the rest of my life. After a bumpy start, I gradually got everything under control with the support of great doctors. After two years, I’m feeling better, and I’m more grateful than ever for having music to turn to.
