According to a proxy statement filed by Comcast, chairman and CEO Brian Roberts received $35.4 million in salary in 2023, an increase of 11% over the previous year.
In addition to his salary of $2.5 million, Roberts received $15 million in stock awards, $9.2 million in option awards, and $8.6 million in inactive plan pay.
Mike Cavanagh, Comcast’s president in addition to leading its NBCUniversal unit, had a total remuneration of $29.6 million in 2023.
In 2022, Cavanagh signed a new deal that allowed him the opportunity to buy 2 million shares of Comcast Class A common stock for $14.8 million. His total remuneration for 2022 was $40.5 million.
Earlier this week, Comcast announced flat first-quarter earnings, with revenues increasing 1.2% to $30.1 billion.
