Blue Ivy Carter is ready to make her acting debut, and she’s doing so with the Mouse House, alongside her mother, Beyoncé, in the upcoming ‘Lion King’ prequel film.

Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s oldest daughter has been cast in the new live-action film, which was announced Monday as Disney released a sneak peek for “Mufasa: The Lion King,” with BIC listed as the voice of Kiara, Simba and Nala’s kid.

Art imitates life… Blue Ivy is definitely Beyoncé’s real-life child, but she will also play her mother’s child on film.

While Blue Ivy’s voice acting was not seen in the teaser, Disney claimed she would play a key role in the new ‘Lion King’ story. ‘Mufasa’ narrates the origin story of Simba’s late father, as told to Kiara by her parents.

While this is Blue Ivy’s first big-screen performance, she has previously collaborated with her legendary mom. Blue appeared on Beyoncé’s single “Brown Skin Girl” and won an NAACP Image Award, a BET Her Award, and a Grammy for her role in the song.

She later joined Beyoncé on stage as a dancer during the Renaissance World Tour, where she famously sang “My Power” and “Black Parade” with the superstar.

She’s now gaining a foothold in the film industry as well… gotta love Hollywood nepotism!

Blue Ivy’s star is undeniably rising… but that’s due in large part to her status as the most renowned nepo baby in the world. Of course, she is talented, but her parents are a tremendous assistance here. On the surface, it appears that Hollywood is preparing to roll out the red carpet for the child.
