Harvey Weinstein’s rape and sexual assault convictions in New York have been overturned.

Weinstein received a 23-year sentence after being convicted guilty of a first-degree criminal sexual conduct and third-degree rape in February 2020. The charges stem from allegations that he forced oral sex on one woman in 2006 and raped another in 2013.

Weinstein’s convictions were reversed, and his lawyers stated that he did not receive a fair trial since his reputation was on trial rather than actual facts.
