The NFL is keeping a tight eye on Rashee Rice after one of his vehicles was allegedly involved in a major car accident in Dallas on Saturday.

A league official informed TMZ Sports on Tuesday that they are “monitoring” the situation, but no other information about their investigation was provided.

As previously reported, two high-end cars, a Lamborghini and a Corvette, caused a massive pile-up on an expressway over the weekend after being spotted speeding in and out of traffic. According to police, none of the automobiles’ passengers remained on the scene to see whether anyone required medical assistance.

According to the Dallas Morning News, one of the automobiles involved was registered to Rice… and cops were actively hunting for him following the crash, despite the fact that the Chiefs star has not been formally charged with a crime.

The 23-year-old’s lawyer claimed in a statement Monday afternoon that the wide receiver was cooperating with local authorities. Cops also stated that they had spoken with Rice’s legal counsel… “but have not conducted interviews with potentially involved individuals in Saturday’s crash.”

In Kansas City, team president Mark Donovan said on a local radio station Monday morning that they are attempting to “get to the bottom of it” all.

“We’ll gather the facts,” he went on to say, “and then we’ll react accordingly.”

Rice, who was drafted in 2023, helped the Chiefs win the Super Bowl in his rookie season, recording 79 receptions for 938 yards and seven touchdowns.
