Jimmy Kimmel is responding to Aaron Rodgers’ suggestion that his name could be on a list of persons linked to the late, infamous financier Jeffrey Epstein.
“There’s a lot of people, including Jimmy Kimmel, who are really hoping [the list] doesn’t come out,” the New York Jets player remarked during a recent visit on the Pat McAfee Show. I’ll tell you what, if that list is released, I’ll absolutely be cracking a bottle.”
A New York judge is expected to release about 200 identities connected to Epstein, including allies, former employees of his and Ghislaine Maxwell, and people who have flown on his planes. So far, the only names in court filings have been John and Jane Does.

Following Rodgers’ remarks, Jimmy Kimmel Live! host Jimmy Kimmel took to X (previously Twitter), threatening to sue him.
“Dear Aasshole: for the record, I’ve not met, flown with, visited, or had any contact whatsoever with Epstein, nor will you find my name on any ‘list’ other than the clearly-phony nonsense that soft-brained wackos like yourself can’t seem to distinguish from reality,” Kimmel wrote in an email. “Your reckless words endanger my family.” Keep it up, and we’ll go over the facts in court.”
Rodgers’ most recent comments appeared to be in response to a joke Kimmel made on his late-night program last year, after Rodgers discussed the Epstein list and UFOs on an earlier edition of the Pat McAfee program.

McAfee began his program on Wednesday by addressing the rivalry between Rodgers and Kimmel and apologizing for his role in it. “I can understand why Jimmy got incredibly upset, yeah, I definitely completely understand that, especially with his position, but also I think Aaron is like, ‘hey, this guy has said some stuff about me in his monologue’ and he’s just trying to shit talk,” McAfee told reporters. “I don’t think he meant anything else, but he’s gonna have to clarify that for us.”

Epstein committed suicide in jail in August 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking accusations. According to the Associated Press, he was accused of bringing multiple minor females to his residences under the premise of giving him massages before sexually abusing them.
Maxwell, Epstein’s colleague and former girlfriend, is currently serving a 20-year jail sentence after being convicted of assisting Epstein in recruiting and sexually abusing minor females in December 2021.
