Quentin Tarantino said some things about Marvel stars, and Chris Evans agrees with him.

In an interview with GQ, the 42-year-old actor said that Pulp Fiction director Quentin Tarantino was “right” when he said that the superheroes, not the actors, are the stars of Marvel movies.

Even though he was the main character in several MCU movies as Steve Rogers/Captain America, Evans said it felt more like a supporting part.

“That was the best part about making Marvel movies. You never had to be right in the middle. Even sometimes in your own movies. Recently, Quentin Tarantino said it, and I thought, Yeah, he’s right. The main focus is on the character. He said, “You’re there, but you don’t feel the weight of it.”

Marvel boss Kevin Feige kindly disagreed with Evans, saying, “I think it’s something he was telling himself, and I think it’s something many of the Avengers, including Robert Downey Jr., would tell themselves, which was actually very helpful to the process. But it’s not fully true in some cases, like Chris’s.”

Evans joined the MCU with Captain America: The First Avenger in 2011 and left with Avengers: Endgame in 2019.

The star wouldn’t say for sure that he wouldn’t return to the Marvel family in the future, but he did say it wouldn’t happen soon.

“I’ll never say never again, because that was such a great time. But I also treat it with a lot of care. “It’s something I’m very happy about,” he said. “And I wouldn’t want the black eye if it felt like a way to make money, if it didn’t live up to standards, or if it didn’t have anything to do with the original. So, not soon at all.”

Evans also said he was trying to act less so he could spend more time on other things.
