Warren G Says He Had A Chance To Defuse 2Pac & Biggie Beef Once

Warren G has reflected on the opportunity to change Hip Hop history in regards to the collapse of 2Pac and Biggie.

The “Regulate” hitmaker joined Drink Champs for an explosive forthcoming episode, and a snippet released earlier this week shows him remembering and wishing he had the opportunity to properly settle ’90s West Coast-East Coast hostilities.

“I pulled up, Biggie was right there, and we were chopping it up about everything,” Warren G recalled of his conversation with The Notorious B.I.G. “Music — with him and 2Pac, them beefing and shiting.” He was like, ‘He’s tripping on me.’ Everything was being revealed to me by him.

“So I said, ‘How about this, this is what I’m going to do.'” When I go to ‘Pac, I’ll tell him I spoke with this n-gga Biggie and this is what he said. Get this stuff together, n-ggas, and stop that shit.”

“But I couldn’t get to [2Pac] because of all the other muthafuckas around,” Warren G said. To truly discuss what [Biggie] stated with him. I was attempting to convey the message to him.”

N.O.R.E. then weighed in, questioning whether, in an other universe, Warren G could’ve ended Biggie and Pac’s fight.

“It probably wouldn’t have been as bad,” Warren concurred. “Well, I would have taken [2Pac] aside and really talked to him.” ‘Look, this is what this n-gga told me.'”

While it’s unknown whether Warren G could have changed Big and ‘Pac’s destinies, many in the Drink Champs comment section questioned his chances.

“There was no turning back once the gangs got involved.” “Sad truth,” one person remarked, adding, “Pac handled the entire situation incorrectly.” He was on record saying one thing, but in interviews, he said the reverse.”

2Pac was shot in a drive-by shooting after a Mike Tyson fight in Las Vegas in September 1996; he died a week later. Six months later, in March 1997, Biggie was murdered in Los Angeles.

While both killings remain unsolved, officials are apparently prepared to arrest 2Pac.

The Sun reports that Duane “Keefe D” Davis is facing “imminent charges,” with Las Vegas homicide being the most serious charge in the nearly 27-year-old cold case.

According to the site, which is backed by the district attorney, officials have developed a compelling case against Eazy-E’s childhood pal and are set to present their findings to a secret jury next month.

The grand jury will be provided with a large amount of evidence, including witness accounts about 2Pac’s murder and Keefe’s involvement.

The ex-kingpin, however, will be unable to attend the court. A grand jury will decide if the evidence presented is adequate to warrant prosecution.

According to The Sun’s sources, the D.A. “is looking at first-degree murder potentially for Keefe D,” citing Nevada law.
