The Weeknd, a Diamond certified and award-winning singer, just smashed the record for largest attendance over two nights at London Stadium with 160,000 people in attendance.
This historic occasion occurred over the weekend, with two sold-out gigs on July 7 and 8 as part of his After Hours Til Dawn Tour. With 80,000 spectators in attendance, the tour now holds the record for the largest single-night attendance for any event in the stadium. On both nights, Kaytranada and Mike Dean performed.
The stadium tour’s totally sold out 2022 North American leg was a huge success, shattering attendance records and making $148 million USD. The global tour has now grossed over $350 million dollars since the start of the second leg.

“It is incredible to see The Weeknd reach this milestone less than halfway through his massive sold-out European tour,” said Omar Al-joulani, President, Touring, Live Nation. “This historic event in London demonstrates the global fanbase he has built over the years.”
“Abel continues to sell at an astounding level across Europe on the heels of an enormous, hugely successful U.S. tour,” said CAA’s Co-Head of North American Touring Darryl Eaton to Variety. “Abel entertained 160,000 fans over two nights at London Stadium, with another London show scheduled for August 2023 at Wembley.” We are honored to be working with him and his team on this great tour!”
The After Hours Til Dawn Tour resumes tomorrow in King Baudouin Stadium in Brussels, Belgium, before heading to Barcelona, Milan, Paris, and other cities. The Weeknd will also tour Latin America this fall, performing in Mexico City, Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires, and other cities before closing off on October 25 at Guadalajara’s Estadio Akron.
The global stadium tour commemorates The Weeknd’s 2020 album After Hours (whose hit single “Blinding Lights” was named the new No. 1 Billboard Hot 100 song of all time, surpassing Chubby Checker’s 1960 hit “The Twist”), as well as his critically-acclaimed album Dawn FM, released in January 2022.
