Madonna has spoken out after being rushed to the hospital with a bacterial illness.
Guy Oseary, the pop star’s manager, revealed last month that she suffered a “serious” bacterial infection and had spent several days in the intensive care unit (ICU).
The pop singer took to Instagram on Monday to reassure her admirers that she is on the mend following her health crisis.
“I appreciate your positive energy, prayers, and healing and encouraging comments. I could feel your affection. “I am on the mend and extremely grateful for all the blessings in my life,” the 64-year-old stated.
Madonna’s hospitalization forced the cancellation of her planned Celebration World Tour, which was set to go off on July 15 in Vancouver, Canada.

The Like a Prayer singer maintained in her statement that she is focusing on regaining strength so she can perform for her fans.
“When I woke up in the hospital, my first thought was of my children,” she continued. “My second thought was that I did not want to let anyone down who had purchased tickets to my tour.” I also did not want to disappoint the individuals who had worked so hard with me over the last few months to make my program a reality. I despise disappointing people.”
“My focus now is my health and getting stronger,” the Material Girl hitmaker continued, “and I can assure you, I will be back with you as soon as I can!”
