Prior to his NBA career, he spent two seasons playing college basketball for the Houston Cougars before transferring to the Texas A&M Aggies. In his final year as a college player, House Jr. played a crucial role in the Aggies’ achievement of a share in the regular-season Southeastern Conference (SEC) championship. Additionally, he contributed significantly to their successful journey to the Sweet Sixteen in the 2016 NCAA tournament.
House, originally from Houston and raised in the Fourth Ward, spent his formative years in Missouri City, Texas, where he attended Hightower High School. During his junior year, he demonstrated impressive skills, averaging 13.9 points, 5.4 rebounds, 1.5 steals, 1.1 blocks, and 1.3 assists per game, earning him recognition as a member of the prestigious All-District 23-5A First Team.
