You’re not gonna hear her roar.

The criticism Katy Perry has received from “American Idol” competitors and viewers during Season 21 is being dismissed.

Source: “Katy isn’t fazed by the backlash,” as a source exclusively tells us. She is merely carrying out her duties because this has been a season of amazing talent and roller coasters.

According to the insider, the pop queen “has a unique sense of humor that may not always translate well on camera, but she never has any ill intent” when presiding over the singing contest.

Our source emphasizes that “she’s a mentor and friend to the competitors.”

The 38-year-old singer of “Teenage Dream” has faced criticism several times recently for remarks she made to the most recent batch of contestants on the show.

She was initially charged with mom-shaming Sara Beth Liebe by making light of the 25-year-old mother of three by saying that she had been “laying on the table too much.”

After her audition was broadcast on March 5, Liebe criticized Perry’s “hurtful” remark in a TikTok video, adding, “I think that it’s hard enough to be a mom, and it’s hard enough to be a woman.”

Following her departure from “Idol,” Liebe made it clear that she was “not even mad” at the Grammy nominee and needed to “get home to [her] babies.”

For criticizing Nutsa Buzaladze’s glittery costume and pleading with viewers to vote after Wé Ani survived the eliminations but Elijah McCormick did not, Perry also received criticism.

However, a lot of fans have defended the “Firework” singer, saying that Simon Cowell, the original “Idol” judge, was much harsher in his criticisms.

“Do y’all forget Simon? He ripped people apart. Not even close to that is Katy! I would be ready for it if she became angrier, a viewer tweeted.

“I don’t see how Katy was rude,” Another person commented, “It’s much more courteous than Simon Cowell would be.

Another said, “We just sit here and pretend Simon Cowell wasn’t a thing, right.

Alanis Morissette and Ed Sheeran will take the place of Katy Perry and Lionel Richie on Sunday, granting those who wanted a respite from Perry their desire.

Luke Bryan has been a judge since the show’s 2018 return, however the judges’ table had to be changed when Perry and Richie were chosen to sing at King Charles III’s coronation concert in London.

ABC broadcasts “American Idol” at 8 p.m. ET on Sundays and Mondays.
