Since his hospitalization in September 2022, fans of the “Circles” musician, whose real name is Austin Post, have voiced concerns about his health.
Malone explained on Twitter that he had to postpone his Boston gig because he awoke with a “stabbing pain” and was having trouble breathing.
“Boston, I f—ing adore you all. I typically wake up about 4 o’clock in the afternoon while on tour, but today I heard cracking noises on my right side of the body as I awoke. “Last night, I felt fantastic, but today was completely different. I’m having a lot of trouble breathing, and every time I move or breathe, I feel like I’m being stabbed.
Malone admitted he wouldn’t be able to give the fans the show they paid for because of the pain he was experiencing, but he promised to make up for it later.
“All tickets for tonight’s performance will be valid for the upcoming rescheduled performance. I’m so f—ing sorry once more,” he wrote. I adore all of you so much. I’m really sorry, but I swear I’ll make things right with you. I’ll see you soon, Boston, I love you.
