On Wednesday, Robert Downey Jr. celebrated his 58th birthday by posting a happy Instagram photo featuring a rare peek of his kids.
The Marvel actor first shared a video of his family and friends singing happy birthday to him as they gave him a cake and candles before posting a montage of his 57th year set to “Psycho Killer” by Talking Heads.
Downey captioned the video, “57 you’ve been too kind, and with deep gratitude I shall rewind,”
Downey incorporated snippets of videos and images from his year’s most memorable personal and business moments.
He supposedly made allusion to his part in Christopher Nolan’s upcoming film Oppenheimer when he wrote, “Thanks to the Nolans we are of on accord, thanks to Hugh Herr and the MIT bionics board.”

He added, “Thanks to my kids for shaving my dome for the project The Sympathizer, the doc about ‘Sr.’ surely hit close to home,” and included a clip of two younger kids shaving him.
In January, Downey was glimpsed on the The Sympathizer set wearing a full wig and a lot of makeup. He also uploaded video of his kids watching him shave his cranium for the part in October.
He continued in his video, “Watching Exton play baseball was a heck of a time for my partners at Aura creating safety online, for playing multiple roles, and my favorite musicians. He added a video of himself supporting his kid on a baseball field from the stands.

With his wife Susan, Downey has two kids: daughter Avri, 8, and boy Exton, 11. Indio, a grown boy, is another child he has with his ex-wife Deborah Falconer.
Over a picture of himself and Susan, Downey penned, “And the sweet 17 of marriage – sublime.” I simply must say that I wish to never grow up after all these blessings.
