Dr. Dre, Missy Elliott, and Lil Wayne, as well as music industry leader Sylvia Rhone, will be honored at the Recording Academy Honors Presented By The Black Music Collective event during GRAMMY Week 2023.

All four honorees will receive the Recording Academy Global Impact Award in recognition of their individual and collective contributions to the music business.

Amazon Music and Google Pixel Phone are the sponsors of the second annual Black Music Collective event, which takes over the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles. Adam Blackstone is the evening’s musical director. The ceremony will once again be presided over by Rico Love, vice chair of the Recording Academy Board of Trustees.

Harvey Mason, Jr., CEO of the Recording Academy, said, “I am so happy to honor and celebrate these four giants in the music industry. “Last year’s inaugural celebration was a major highlight of GRAMMY Week, and with Dr. Dre, Missy, Wayne, and Sylvia present to honor this year, it’s sure to be another memorable evening. The Black Music Collective’s work continues to make me proud since it is so important to what we do at the Academy.
