Lil Durk appears to have been in a terrible car accident and posted pictures of the damage to social media.
The Chicago rapper posted a picture of a black SUV on its side in the middle of a road with fragments of the vehicle lying nearby on Instagram on Saturday (December 18).
Although it’s unclear how or when the tragedy occurred or who was involved, Durk’s caption commented on the transience of life. He can be seen getting into an SUV that looks like it in another image in the same slideshow.
He added the phrase “Live life Anyday can be your last SMURK,” along with an expressionless face emoji.
In any event, many of Durk’s contemporaries, like G Herbo, Swizz Beatz, CyHi The Prynce, 2Rare, and Lil Tjay, offered their encouragement in his comments area.
“That’s why you have to [walk] whenever you can,” Tjay, who earlier this year had his own close call with death after being shot three times during a robbery attempt in New Jersey, wrote.
Lil Durk has been in danger many times before, so this is by no means the first instance. In July 2021, a home invasion that was intended for the Chi-Town native turned into a firefight.

Multiple intruders allegedly broke into Durk’s residence in the Chateau Elan suburb of Braselton, roughly an hour’s drive from Atlanta, and engaged him and his then-girlfriend India Royale in gunfire.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation verified that Durk and Royale were the victims of an aggravated assault and a home invasion. Fortunately, during the gunfight, neither of them was hurt.
On the musical front, Loyal Bros 2 is the most recent compilation album from Lil Durk and his Only The Family group. Future, Kodak Black, Trippie Redd, Icewear Vezzo, and the late King Von all made cameos on the 23-track album.
