Following an armed robbery in Los Angeles, the Philadelphia rapper was shot and died.

PNB Rock was establishing himself as a platinum-selling musician and one of the most sought-after up-and-coming performers of his time after leaving Philadelphia. Sadly, he lost his life on Monday, September 12, when he was shot and killed during an armed robbery at a Roscoe’s Chicken & Waffles restaurant in Los Angeles.

The rapper from the song “Selfish,” whose real name is Rakim Hasheem Allen, was taken right away to the hospital following the shooting but ultimately passed away. At 1:59 PM, he was pronounced deceased. PST. Eyewitnesses claim that the incident was a full-fledged robbery attempt to steal the rapper’s jewels after his girlfriend uploaded a location-tagged Instagram picture revealing the couple’s whereabouts.

Investigators are currently looking through camera footage from inside the restaurant to identify the gunman, according to LAPD Captain Kelly Muniz, who stated that the attacker “shot the victim and went out the side door to a getaway car and then exited the parking lot.”
