During a recent Kendrick Lamar concert, a security guard was seen in a viral video wiping away tears. The rapper is now commenting on it after seeing it for himself.
In a recent interview, the 35-year-old 14-time Grammy winner thanked the security guard and expressed his gratitude for the ability of his music to inspire others in such a powerful way.

After being published on TikTok by user @dejaihvu over the weekend, the video of a security officer crying and singing along to Kendrick Lamar’s 2017 hit “Love” at a concert at the Toyota Center in Houston on Friday went viral. There have been almost 11 million views thus far.
The employee introduced himself as Devyn Sanford and said that the song “Love” has a particular place in his heart in the video’s comments.
“You all saw me in the post. This song means everything to me, and I was experiencing the feelings of everyone around me. I love that I am paid to do this, “He composed.
Later, Sanford discussed the event with local media source KRIV, describing it as “extremely weird” for his outburst of passion to go viral.
I’m still kind of like, taking it all in right now, he said. “I had no idea that the moment had been filmed until after the concert, and then I woke up the next day and it was everywhere.
The song is called “Love,” and listening to it took me back to 2017 when it was initially released. At that moment in my life, I was going through a bit of turmoil, Sanford continued. “The words, the people around me — they were all crying and yelling and grabbing for Kendrick. I did my best to keep it together while I sort of simply absorbed everyone’s feelings, but I eventually cracked.
Sanford claimed that Lamar’s crew has since gotten in touch with him and is offering free goods and an opportunity to talk with the celebrity.
