Ariana Grande, the pop superstar sensation, is making a comeback with a remix of The Weeknd’s smash song “Die For You.” Since the singer’s 2020 album “Positions,” no new music has been published, and fans can hardly wait for more.
The 33-year-old musician The Weekend and the 29-year-old singer-actress have collaborated on a version of his 2016 single “Die For You” from the album “Starboy.”
You can hear the Grammy winner singing, “You know what I’m thinkin’, see it in your eyes / You hate that you want me, loathe it when you cry,” in a video she shared on Tuesday.
After a 14-hour day on set, I wrote and recorded a verse for my buddy, she wrote in the caption for the video. It was necessary to make this specific exception.
Given that Grande is currently shooting the two-part movie adaptation of the immensely popular Broadway musical “Wicked,” in which she portrays Glinda, it is unclear when fans can expect to hear this remix. She is intensely concentrated on her character and working long hours.
She gave the following explanation when a TikTok user inquired why she no longer performs as a singer: “Literally on set filming two musical movies all day, every day.”
Do not be misled; this is not Ariana and The Weekends’ debut performance. 2014’s ‘Love Me Better’ from Ariana’s album ‘My Everything’ marked the duo’s debut collaboration. They also collaborated on the song “Off The Table” from her album “Positions” in 2020, and Ariana showed off her vocal range on a version of “Save Your Tears” from his album “After Hours.”
Although she has been quiet lately in terms of original music, she recently reminded fans of her vocal prowess on a performance of “Over the Rainbow” from the 1939 musical “Wicked” to reassure them that she is still very much a vocalist.
