Liam Hemsworth, in the opinion of Bond veteran George Lazenby, is “arrogant” enough to take over as the next James Bond.

In an interview with TMZ over the weekend, the fellow Australian claimed Hemsworth possesses the courage, conceit, and confidence necessary to play James Bond.

Sean Connery passed the 007 baton to the 83-year-old in the late 1960s. George, who was only 29 years old when he was chosen to take Connery’s position as Bond, was the youngest.

A “good-looking Aussie dude” like Hemsworth, 32, according to the former Bond actor, would make a suitable replacement for Daniel Craig, who ended his career with his fifth picture, No Time to Die, in 2021.

Hemsworth was “crazy enough, arrogant enough, confident enough, and ambitious enough to take on the part,” according to Lazenby.

British actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson, who has reportedly met with producer Barbara Broccoli, is the current front-runner to play Bond.

Rory Kinnear, who portrayed Bill Tanner, M’s chief of staff, in four of Craig’s five films, is of the opinion that Taylor-Johnson won’t be identified as the spy.

During a recent interview on Britain’s The One Show, he observed, “I always feel slightly horrible for the folks that are being featured since that never tends to be them.” “They excel at keeping the identity of the real individual a mystery. Of course, I’m curious to see who ends up winning, but historically, that hasn’t always been the frontrunner.”
