Leonardo DiCaprio’s night out clubbing in Miami has gone viral.
The actor was spotted throwing some shapes on the dancefloor at the Lounge at Gekko in Miami. Another patron at the nightclub, which is owned by rapper Bad Bunny, recorded DiCaprio mid-dance.
The video went viral after it was shared on TikTok [see video below], with users commenting on the Oscar winner’s moves. Some users said the actor’s dancing was “hilarious”, but others defended the actor – saying he was just “chillin'”.
“Leonardo DiCaprio just vibing in Miami at Gekko in Brickell,” the account @livinmiami305 captioned the video. The brief video shows DiCaprio, dressed in a black cap, smoking a cigarette and waving his hand in the air as music plays.
The actor from The Departed appeared to be with a group of friends. As the actor’s gaze shifts to the person filming, they quickly dip the device they’re using. The post has received 261,000 views to date.
Users on the social media app were quick to judge the video. Many people appeared to be underwhelmed by the Hollywood A-moves. Lister’s “Leo dancing to this song is hilarious,” one user commented.
Another commented: “Why does he dance like my grandpa[?]” However, there were others who came to DiCaprio’s defence. “He got the moves like in Wolf of Wall Street,” one user responded, referencing his highly praised turn as Jordan Belfort. Another added: “He’s chillin let him live.”
An earlier video posted to the same account showed DiCaprio in the same outfit in better lighting. He was photographed on the street shaking hands with a group of people. “Leonardo DiCaprio spotted last night at Icon Brickell in Miami,” the video caption reads.
In other news, DiCaprio nearly missed out on his role in Titanic after refusing to do a screen test with co-star Kate Winslet. In a recent interview, James Cameron, who directed the 1997 disaster film, recalled the incident.
Cameron revealed that Winslet initially refused to do a screen test with him. Rather than giving the actor free rein, the Avatar director thanked him for his efforts and gave him the option of filming a screen test or leaving; DiCaprio chose the latter.
