According to a death certificate obtained by a source on Wednesday, Aaron Carter’s family had the late singer cremated.

According to the legal document, Carter’s ashes will be held by his twin sister, Angel Carter, who also revealed that the “Aaron’s Party (Come Get It)” artist’s mother, Jane Carter, was the first person to be informed of his untimely death.

The official cause of death has yet to be determined, but police reportedly discovered multiple cans of compressed air and prescription pill bottles at the scene.

Aaron was discovered dead in his bathtub at his home in Lancaster, California, on November 5. He was 34.

“The family has been notified, and they will be flying out to Los Angeles,” his representative said at the time. “Toward the end of his life, Aaron worked very hard in recovery, to be a good father, and to make amends with his family.”

According to reports, the troubled former child star died without a will.

According to sources, Aaron was advised by lawyers to draft one following the birth of his son, Prince, with on-again, off-again fiancée Melanie Martin in November 2021, but he never did.

Because Aaron was unmarried at the time of his death, Prince will most likely inherit his late father’s estate, according to California succession laws.

Angel and Nick Carter, Aaron’s siblings, announced on Monday that they are raising funds for mental health in the aftermath of their brother’s tragic death.

“Even though my brother and I have had a complicated relationship, my love for him has never faded,” the 42-year-old Backstreet Boys singer wrote on Instagram on Nov. 6.

“I’ve always hoped that he’d someday want to walk a healthy path and eventually find the help that he so desperately needed.” We often want to blame someone or something for a loss, but the truth is that addiction and mental illness are the true villains here.”
