The late Kim Porter’s children, Christian Combs, Quincy Brown, and twins Jessie and D’Lila Combs, are speaking out against the unlawful selling of what is being sold as her journal.
Two months after publicly criticizing the “Kim Porter Tell It All” memoir, Christian and Quincy have issued a cease-and-desist notice to halt its dissemination.
According to TMZ, the legal warning was intended at Courtney Burgess and his attorney, Ariel Mitchell, who are alleged to be the authors of the book, which is sold under the alias Jamal Millwood. Burgess claims that the book is a “original unedited” copy of Kim Porter’s private writings recovered on a flash drive shared by her close friends.
Christian and Quincy vigorously deny these allegations, calling the flash drive tale “patently false” and dishonest to the public. They claim that as Kim Porter’s lawful heirs following her untimely death in November 2018, they have intellectual property rights to any of her publications or goods.

In their cease-and-desist letter, the brothers demand that Burgess immediately halt all book sales, stop conducting interviews about the book’s supposed origins, and hand over any personal belongings Kim claims to own. They also require a complete accounting of any revenues made from the book’s sales.
The Combs brothers have stated that if their demands are not honored within five days, they may take legal action. This courageous step demonstrates their dedication to preserving their mother’s legacy and resisting what they see as exploiting her memory.
