Dr. Dre made Snoop Dogg emotional while addressing his longtime collaborator’s ownership of Death Row Records.
Over the weekend, the two attended ComplexCon in Las Vegas to tape a live interview for Drink Champs. When the topic of Death Row came up, Dre expressed his “proud” of Snoop for the move.
“Allow me to tell you something, man. “I was so upset when I heard that Snoop was doing the Death Row sht at the beginning,” he explained. “Like, ‘N, that sht has so much bullsht following it.'” But now I’m overjoyed and delighted with what my brother is doing because he’s revived something we built. I see his vision now. “I appreciate it and am proud of it.” Snoop became emotional after receiving the compliment, saying, “That made me feel wonderful. Thank to everybody. “Y’all trying to make a n* cry.”

During the discussion, Dre and Snoop also discussed the upcoming Super Bowl and JAY-Z’s part in choosing Kendrick Lamar to perform the halftime show. Snoop said that JAY is providing hip-hop musicians with a platform they have never had before. “He’s creating a wave of artists to have an opportunity to perform,” he told me. “If you are a good artist and you are a great artist, your time will come.”
