The public’s response to Donald Trump’s announcement of victory in the 2024 U.S. Presidential Election was not entirely positive.

Others are furious and voicing grave concerns for the nation’s future, while others are celebrating. Kamala Harris has now sent a little statement on TikTik to people who helped her during her campaign. The words, “Thank you, America,” appear. The message was accompanied by video of Harris receiving encouragement from her supporters during the Democratic National Convention a few months ago.

USA Today reports that Harris will give her concession address at Howard University today at 4 p.m. ET. Supporters are expressing their dissatisfaction and offering their opinions on the election results in the comments area of The Neighborhood Talk. “America let her down,” reads one Instagram user. Someone another writes, “Sad day for America,”

According to the Washington Post, Trump campaign spokesperson Steven Cheung confirmed in a statement today that she congratulated Trump on his victory and that she spoke with him today. “Both leaders agreed on the importance of unifying the country, and President Trump commended Vice President Harris for her strength, professionalism, and tenacity throughout the campaign,” Cheung said. They reportedly also “discussed the importance of being a president for all Americans and a peaceful transfer of power.”

Harris’ passing has not depressed everyone, as several friends and social media users have responded favorably to the news. For instance, 50 Cent just congratulated Trump on his win on Instagram. “I’m taking the winner’s s*** with me, regardless of how the fight turns out. I still have no idea what’s happening 🤦 Congrats! “@lecheminduroi @bransoncognac,” he wrote.
