Tyler Perry will always be there for his buddy Meghan Markle no matter what.
The renowned director, 52, wrote a loving birthday card to the Duchess of Sussex on August 4 in honor of her 41st birthday, recalling the pair’s close relationship.
In the past few years, I’ve had a front-row view of your life, Tyler captioned his Instagram photo from August 5. “I have seen you go through things that would have broken many people. Seeing how content you, your husband, and your children right now make me feel immensely proud. I’m happy to wish Princess Meghan a happy birthday.”
The Madea creator also posted a picture of Meghan wearing a black jumpsuit and matching heels, adorably stooping to kiss the hand of a young girl.
Tyler played a key role in assisting Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, 37, as they adapted to life in California after moving there after announcing their intention to retire from royal duties in January 2020.
The couple and their son Archie Harrison were given free accommodation in the founder of Tyler Perry Studios’ $18 million Beverly Hills mansion while they looked for their own place to live.
According to the BBC, Meghan stated in her 2021 sit-down interview with Oprah Winfrey, “We didn’t have a plan.” We had to find a house, and [Tyler] offered his security as well, so it gave us some breathing room to consider our options.
The couple eventually bought a house in Santa Barbara in August 2020 after welcoming daughter Lilibet “Lili” Diana in 2021.
