A new AI virtual concert experience called “Elvis Evolution” will provide a holographic makeover to Elvis Presley and make its London debut later this year.
This year, a new generation of Elvis enthusiasts will be able to see a live rendition of the King thanks to holographic projection and artificial intelligence. In November, “Elvis Evolution” has its London premiere. Additional performances are planned in Berlin, Las Vegas, and Tokyo.

The technology will produce a “life-size digital Elvis to perform his famous songs and moves,” thanks to a collaboration between Authentic Brands Group, the owner of the rights to Elvis’ likeness, and British immersive entertainment company Layered Reality.
Thousands of Elvis Presley images and home movies were utilized in conjunction with “the power of AI and holographic projection, augmented reality, live theatre, and multi-sensory effects” to produce the hologram.
A restaurant and bar with an Elvis motif, live music, DJs, and other performances will also be part of the spectacle. The London production’s tickets will go on sale in June.

According to creator and CEO of Layered Reality Andrew McGuinness, “fans no longer want to sit there and passively receive entertainment—they want to be a part of it.” “Elvis fans and admirers around the world will find it to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience that will leave lasting memories.”
“It’s going to be a joyous celebration of Elvis’ life; the man, the music, and his cultural legacy,” McGuinness goes on. She explains that audiences will travel back in time to Tupelo, Mississippi, where Presley started out in poverty before reaching the pinnacles of his fame in Memphis and Las Vegas. “An AI performance by Elvis is the experience’s climax.”

Because of the success of Sofia Coppola’s “Priscilla,” which is based on the life of Elvis Presley’s ex-wife, and Baz Luhrmann’s “Elvis,” interest in the singer has recently been rekindled in popular culture. “Elvis Evolution” follows other holographic concert experiences, such as the wildly popular ABBA hologram event from the previous year and the Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston holograms that made their debuts in 2020 and 2021, respectively.
KISS revealed plans for “immortalized and reborn” avatar avatars of the band to assume the performance mantle in 2027 following their final show in December.
