Get ready—after years of anticipation, the first Grand Theft Auto VI trailer will officially release this month.

Grand Theft Auto V, which has been a beloved game for ten years, was launched in September 2013 by Rockstar Games, the creators of the renowned franchise. This year marks the game’s tenth anniversary.

Since then, Rockstar has remastered several of its beloved games and launched Red Dead Redemption 2 to widespread praise from critics.

However, the GTA series is a very different animal, with fans clamoring for details from Rockstar.

Following a flurry of rumors, Rockstar revealed last month that a GTA VI trailer would debut in December, simultaneously shattering the internet.

Rockstar’s president Sam Houser made the following announcement in a statement posted on X, formerly Twitter: “Next month is Rockstar Games’ 25th anniversary. We have had the chance to make games we are genuinely enthusiastic about because of the amazing support we receive from our gamers all across the world.

“We are incredibly thankful to each and every one of you for traveling this road with us; without you, none of this would be possible.

“We hope that we have made games you love in our efforts to be a part of that growth. Rockstar Games was started in 1998 on the belief that video games may become as fundamental to culture as any other form of entertainment.

“We are thrilled to announce that the first trailer for the upcoming Grand Theft Auto will be released in early December. Hoping to continue sharing these experiences with you all for a very long time.”

Although Rockstar did not give us a specific release date for the trailer, please don’t make us wait much longer.

Fortunately, the trailer is set to release in early December according to Tez2, a well-known GTA insider with a solid track record regarding Rockstar’s titles.

It coincides with Rockstar’s announcement from earlier this week that the two companies are collaborating to release three of their titles on Netflix.

The following statement was released by Netflix: “Fans can pre-register to play Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition, which features the mobile-optimized versions of the genre-defining Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.

“Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition adds to a growing catalog of more than 80 mobile games, with must-play titles across all genres adding further value to all Netflix memberships — including through one of the most iconic series in history, without any ads, in-app purchases, or extra fees.”
