Travis Kelce, who made his relationship with Taylor Swift public last month, is getting used to a new level of fame.
The 34-year-old tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs was already well-known on the field, but dating a world-renowned athlete attracts even more attention.
In a comprehensive interview with WSJ Magazine on Monday for the cover of their December/January issue, Kelce discussed a variety of topics, including Swift, 33. The athlete acknowledged during the conversation that he had no plans to flee the “scrutiny” that has recently come with leading a life that is more closely scrutinized.
Additionally, a lot of fresh attention has been paid to him; in his hitherto peaceful Kansas City neighborhood, paparazzi are now lining up.
Naturally, Kelce remarked, “I’ve never dated anyone with that kind of aura about them. I’ve never dealt with it.” However, I’m not escaping any of it at the same time. The constant scrutiny she faces, the way she’s always under observation—paparazzi outside her home, outside the restaurants she frequents, the amount of time she spends with a magnifying glass on her—and the fact that she’s just trying to live her life.
He observed that Swift manages her notoriety quite skillfully.

“I better not be acting strange when she acts like that.”
Kelce joked that his friends and family are more anxious about their developing romance than he is, pleading with him not to “f— this up!”
In the interview, Kelce described Swift as “a genius” and “hilarious,” and he also mentioned that the pop sensation and he had similar values about work and family.

He remarked, “Everyone knows I’m a family guy.” Her family is her team. Her family is very involved in the tour, marketing, and general presence, so I believe she shares many of the same ideals, which is very appealing to me.
Regarding his family, Swift’s mother, Donna Kelce, is a fan.
“He’s happier than I’ve seen him in a long time,” she told WSJ, adding that she was “beaming” to deliver the news. He aimed for the stars, God bless him!
