The Iron Claw hits theaters in December.
On Thursday, A24 set a Christmas release date for the sports drama starring Zac Efron, Jeremy Allen White, and Harris Dickinson.
“Brothers. Wrestlers. Legends. “The Von Erichs are played by Zac Efron, Jeremy Allen White, and Harris Dickinson in Sean Durkin’s THE IRON CLAW,” the studio tweeted alongside a first look photo of the film.
According to Variety, The Iron Claw will be released on December 22, the same day as the Universal and Illumination animated feature Migration. Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, a DC superhero film, will be released earlier that week.
Sean Durkin (Martha Marcy May Marlene) wrote and directed The Iron Claw. The film tells the true story of the Von Erichs, a wrestling family whose tragedies outside the ring became known as the “Von Erich curse.”
Kevin Von Erich is played by Efron, Kerry Von Erich is played by White, David Von Erich is played by Harris Dickinson, and Fritz Von Erich is played by Holt McCallany.
