Wyclef’s performance will be a collaborative effort between the Mercury and The Sum, bringing the performance to the May 21 game pitting the Mercury against the Chicago Sky in a repeat of the 2021 WNBA Finals.
Wyclef is scheduled to sing Bob Marley’s “One Love” with the help of 200 fans. Jean will also perform a postgame concert.

“It is an exciting day for all of us to announce that Brittney Griner has officially signed with the Mercury to play in 2023,” general manager Jim Pitman said in a statement. “While basketball was not our primary concern, her presence on the court, in our locker room, around our organization, and within our community was greatly missed.”
“We will continue to use our organization’s resources to support her on and off the court, and we are thrilled for her that she will be able to return to basketball, which she adores.” This is a unique signature, and this is a memorable occasion for all of us.”
