Before they wrap up their upcoming tour, Blink-182 will probably have finished recording their new album.
Later this month, the rock band will begin a world tour, and drummer Travis Barker has announced on social media that they hope to finish the album before the tour is over.
Travis, who is wed to Kourtney Kardashian of reality television fame, tweeted: “Album will be finished before we go on tour.”
Travis had to have surgery earlier this year to fix a torn ligament in one of his fingers.
Twice during practice in February, the drummer injured the finger, and he recently said that it also caused him some discomfort during the band’s Coachella performance.
He posted: “2 Coachella weekends in a row with an unhealed finger” to the microblogging website. While I still had stitches, the final four songs on the album were recorded. “Tour in four days (sic)”
The news of Blink-182’s reunion and upcoming world tour was revealed in 2022, and Mark Hoppus has acknowledged that he was relieved to spread the information to everyone.
He stated, “Man, I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders,” to “After School Radio on Apple Music Hits. To keep that secret for so long was a strain.
Mark, 51, also recalled a baseball game when a fan inquired about a potential reunion.
He said, “A fan came up to me the other night at the Dodgers game. It was a couple, possibly in their late twenties or early thirties.
He says, ‘I love your band,’ as we take our photo. I was raised on your band. ‘Dude, is there any way, any way at all?’ he exclaims. I think, “Any way for what?” Is there even a remote possibility of a Blink-182 reunion tour with Tom back in the group? He also had such desperation and hope in his eyes, and I just wanted to reach out and pat him on the shoulder and tell him to wait. Just wait another three or four days.
