Jeremy Renner Shares Hilarious Video Paul Rudd Made For Him During Recovery

Paul Rudd prepared a humorous video for Jeremy Renner while he was recuperating from his snowplough accident, and Jeremy Renner has shared it.

The actor from the Avengers made his first appearance on a late-night talk show after his accident on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Monday night. He used a cane to help him get to the coach. He talked about how his buddies helped him when he was struck by his snowplow on January 1 during the conversation.

Rudd, whom I adore so much, just so happened to be in town to promote his film. He visited me in the hospital a few times, always brightening my day. He’s one of the funniest guys around, after all. And after that, he sent me a video message,” Renner recalled.

The Hawkeye actor revealed that Rudd created the message as though Renner were a Cameo customer, a service that allows celebrities to record customized movies for fans in exchange for a charge. The bogus Cameo film featuring Rudd was then shown to the studio audience and remote viewers by Kimmel.

Hey Jerry, I’ve heard you’ve been hurt a little. Apparently got into a battle with a snow blower.” Rudd laughed. Anyway, I just wanted to share this heartfelt video with you. Apparently you’re a fairly tough guy, so I hope you’re feeling better. It sounds like you are. Wouldn’t it be awesome if I could meet you someday? Take care, slow down for a moment, and perhaps the next time just let the snow melt. Jerry, get better!”

The 52-year-old acknowledged in the interview that seeing his friends, including his Marvel co-star Chris Evans, helped him realize the severity of his wounds.

“Their response is what gave me the impression that I had really injured myself. I could still go through with this. They were lousy actors because they couldn’t cover up how bad I looked, he said in jest.

In the collision, Renner shattered more than 30 bones and sustained traumatic chest injuries; he also admitted to Kimmel that his “eye did pop out.” Despite the severity of his wounds, he considers himself fortunate that the snowplow “missed every vertebra,” didn’t “mess up” any organs, and didn’t cause any brain edema.
