Season 12 of American Horror Story promises to be even more terrifying than before. On April 10, Ryan Murphy unveiled a major development: Kim Kardashian and Emma Roberts have joined the cast. That powerful combo wasn’t on our bingo card in 2023, though.
The production of American Horror Story season 12 has been ongoing for some time. In 2020, the long-running FX show received a 13th season renewal. Has a new cast member been added? The cast of American Horror Story season 12
Ryan Murphy shared a creepy teaser on his Instagram page, revealing that Kim Kardashian and Emma Roberts have joined the cast. “Kim and Emma are Sensitive. this season. On April 10, Ryan captioned a video, writing, “FX and Stream on @hulu.” Kim uploaded the footage on her Instagram page along with the eyes and blood drop emojis.
Music and what appear to be children playing can be heard in the trailer. The iconic AHS theme tune soon starts to play. “Emma and Kim are delicate,” a spooky voice murmurs.
Kim is best known for her work on the reality TV shows Keeping Up With the Kardashians and The Kardashians, but her greatest scripted role to date will be in season 12 of American Horror Story. She has previously appeared on programs like 2 Broke Girls, Drop Dead Diva, and others.
Kim is one of the most well-known and prominent television personalities in the world, and we are delighted to have her join the AHS family, Ryan said in a statement to THR. “Emma and I are thrilled to work with this genuine cultural powerhouse. This season is ambitious and unlike anything we have ever done, and Halley Feiffer has written a joyful, stylish, and ultimately terrifying role, especially for Kim.
Emma will make a comeback to the American Horror Story series in season 12. When she joined AHS in season 3 as Madison Montgomery, she quickly won over the audience’s favor. She appeared in episodes of seasons 4, 7, 8, and 9. Her final episode was in the ninth season of AHS: 1984.

The Hollywood Reporter claims that Matt Czuchry, star of The Resident, will also appear in American Horror Story season 12. After six seasons, FOX has cancelled his medical drama. In the upcoming weeks, further casting information will likely be made public.
Ryan previously stated that former cast members are welcome to return at any time. “Anyone who has appeared on the show is always welcome to return. That is a component of the job. So occasionally folks aren’t available. They move on to other activities. Then occasionally I receive calls from people saying, “Oh, I want to come back.” Therefore, I always wander about at this time of year to check what people are up to and what interests them, Ryan stated in 2019.
Halley will write and oversee production of AHS season 12. Along with co-creator Brad Falchuk, Alexis Martin Woodall, Scott Robertson, and Halley, Ryan will serve as executive producer.
Release Date for Season 12 of American Horror Story
Ryan said that American Horror Story season 12 will air on FX in the summer of 2023, while there is no official release date as of yet. (and will also be available on Hulu). AHS season 12 will premiere less than a year after the show’s eleventh season, which debuted in October 2022. American Horror Story’s upcoming 12th season will be the first to have a summer premiere date.
April 2023 is when Season 12 is anticipated to begin filming in New York City. A June premiere date will probably be announced by Ryan and FX.
What Is the Season 12 Theme of American Horror Story?
Previous themes have included NYC, 1984, Double Feature, Roanoke, Asylum, Coven, Freak Show, Hotel, Roanoke, Cult, and Murder House. The theme for American Horror Story’s twelfth season is delicate. The forthcoming August publication of Danielle Valentine’s book Delicate Condition served as the inspiration for the season. According to the summary, the book is a “gripping thriller about a woman who becomes convinced that a sinister figure is going to great lengths to ensure her pregnancy never happens.”
