At his brand-new music festival called Kelce Jam, Super Bowl king Travis Kelce wants you to battle for your right to have a good time.
The festival will take place on April 28 at The Azura Amphitheater in Kansas City during the NFL draft, which will draw thousands of football fans to the city. The NFL player made the announcement on Tuesday. Machine Gun Kelly, Rick Ross, Loud Luxury, and Tech N9ne are among the performers.
The 33-year-old claims in an interview that “We’re going to throw the biggest music festival Kansas City’s ever seen.”
“I often discuss the importance of defending your freedom to party. That’s something I’ve been saying for a while. In his subsequent statement, Kelce—who has previously used the Beastie Boys’ song “Fight for Your Right” in team celebrations—said, “I believe this is the perfect time. I wanted to be able to thank Kansas City for all of their support and, on top of that, just hold a big one for the 2022 campaign.
In February, Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Philadelphia Eagles to win the Super Bowl. When the Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers in 2020, the tight end earned his first Super Bowl.
Tickets for the pre-sale, which start at $49.99 and go on sale Friday, can be purchased online at KelceJam.com by fans who register. The inaugural event will feature engaging brand activations, specialty cocktails, and eateries from Kansas City like Joe’s BBQ and Q39 in addition to music. In order to put on the celebration, Kelce teamed up with Medium Rare, the organization behind notable pre-Super Bowl gatherings like Shaquille O’Neal’s Fun House, Rob Gronkowski’s Gronk Beach, Sports Illustrated The Party, and Guy’s Flavortown Tailgate with Guy Fieri.
One of Kelce’s greatest loves, he claims that listening to his favored musicians helps him get ready for games on the field.
“I think a majority of the music I listen to on a regular basis is just music from my youth. Music that energized me as a child,” he claims. “My marching band in high school used to perform a song by Outkast called “SpottieOttieDopaliscious,” so that song is important to me. It brings back memories of my high school days, when everything was still just a fantasy. I like to hold onto certain songs that I’ve [listened to] throughout my existence because they have a special meaning for me.

He also created Kelce Jam because he is a huge fan of live music. Guitar slayer John Mayer played at his first performance.
Man, it was amazing, says Kelce. “What that guy can do with his voice and guitar man, it blew me away,” said the listener. I was completely blown away.
Although Kelce acknowledges that he lacks musical talent and says, “I didn’t get that gift, nah, but I’m a great listener, and I vibe,” he has sort of caught the acting itch, particularly after his successful hosting role on Saturday Night Live last month.
He describes it as “such a cool experience to be able to go through.” “Everyone engaged was just so wonderful, so genuine, and they really helped to make that week something I’ll remember for the rest of my life. Simply put, I loved doing it. If the opportunity ever presented itself, I would do it all over again.
Hollywood has been ringing ever since.
Regarding people reaching out for different opportunities, he responds, “Oh yeah, for sure.” “I haven’t signed anything or committed to anything just yet, but I think it would be interesting to try to break into the realm of comedy that is scripted. Most likely won’t stray too far from that, but you never know. We’ll see, man, where this existence leads me.
