Around the world, people are celebrating the 50th anniversary of Pink Floyd’s iconic record “The Dark Side of the Moon.”
Today, 24/03/23, is the big day for the landmark LP’s deluxe box set, which has been digitally remastered.
The book “Pink Floyd – The Dark Side Of The Moon: 50th Anniversary” and the CD and first vinyl release of “The Dark Side Of The Moon – Live At Wembley Empire Pool, London, 1974” are also available to aficionados.
The famous Empire State Building in New York will be illuminated with the band’s prism spectrum artwork for its 50th anniversary, which will spin in its mast, as a further way to commemorate the event. This evening, 24.03.23, at sunset, the show will begin, and the entire city will be able to see it. Anyone who isn’t in New York City can watch it on the Empire State Building Live Cam.
In the meantime, starting at 8 p.m. on Thursday, a light display at Milan’s Duomo plaza featured a prism covering 500 square meters, as well as a rainbow ray of lights and a white beam.
Planetariums all over the world offer listeners a unique experience while enjoying “The Dark Side Of The Moon.”
According to a press release, each song has a distinct theme; some are futuristically looking forward, while others pay homage to Pink Floyd’s visual history. All of the songs relate to a time and space experience, embracing cutting-edge technology that only a planetarium can provide. A genuinely all-encompassing surround sound and visual treat that will transport you far beyond the limitations of a 2D experience.
