From Florida’s Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, SpaceX is slated to launch 56 Starlink spacecraft on Friday.
At 11:33 a.m. EDT, a Falcon 9 rocket will launch the satellites into low-Earth orbit. The reusable first stage booster will split soon after launch and come back to Earth, where it will touch down on the Shortfall of Gravitas drone ship in the Atlantic Ocean.
Two Starlink missions, the Crew-3 and Crew-4 missions, the CRS-22 and CRS-25 missions, the Turksat 5B, the Eutelsat HOTBIRD 13G, and the mPower-a missions were all previously launched by the first stage rocket that will be responsible for putting the satellites into orbit.
In the case of a postponement, a second launch window will begin on Saturday at 11:08.
The launch will be broadcast live by SpaceX beginning about five minutes before takeoff.
