Regarding the latter interview, the co-host of The Breakfast Club questioned the Atlanta rapper about Kendrick Lamar mentioning him by name in his Drake diss track “Not Like Us,” as Baby was one of several Atlanta MCs who he claimed Drizzy was “colonizing.”

Regarding Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” name-drop, Lil Baby disclosed, “I ain’t really into, like, that side of hip-hop.” Therefore, I don’t actually… You are aware. Drake and I get along really well. fantastic partnership. Simply said, in any circumstance, why in the world would you say “me” if you and him were fighting? I’m not completely unrelated to it. […] Rap and st are my work, in my opinion. I don’t want to deal with that kind of st at work. ‘What’s your relationship with Gunna?’ you ask. You understand that I’m not interested in that kind of s**t? I’m not on that.
Additionally, this is a particularly intriguing response since, although mentioning his strong bond with Drake, he doesn’t really take a side between the two artists. Furthermore, since it’s none of his concern and he didn’t really ask for any smoke, it appears that Lil Baby has no interest in becoming involved in that fight. However, his recent press tour did not only focus on hip-hop content; he also talked candidly with Lil Yachty about striking a balance between his kids’ use of the Internet and their relationship with it.
