Young Thug was eventually released from prison yesterday after accepting a plea agreement following a protracted and difficult trial.

In addition to several additional release restrictions, the rapper was returned home with a 15-year probationary period. His peers are ecstatic that his legal battle is over, and the hip-hop community is celebrating. For instance, YSL Woody just took to the internet to express his thoughts on the thrilling news.

Last night, he posted, “Thank you God [prayer emoji],” on his Instagram Story. Woody’s contentious involvement in the trial has garnered a lot of media attention in recent months. He said in August that, in order to get the police off his back, he had falsely implicated Young Thug in a number of crimes in 2015.

Since then, he has repeatedly demanded Young Thug’s release and even expressed sincere regret for what he did earlier this month. “The pain, the suffering, everything I’ve caused on him and his family,” he started at that beginning. “I wish I had the strength and mentality I currently possess. My self-forgiveness will never come. I put him through a procedure that I should never have done. It’s wrong, regardless of how anyone feels, even if I know I’m not the cause of it.”

Young Thug is prohibited from interacting in any way with Woody or other YSL affiliates or suspected gang members as part of his release terms. The two exceptions are Gunna, with whom he expressly asked for permission to resume making music, and his brother, Quantavious Grier.
