The petition to seal the documents and transcripts from Snoop’s 1993 murder trial marked the official conclusion of his previous legal troubles.

According to court documents that TMZ was able to obtain, Snoop asked a judge to seal the records in January 2024, and the following month, the judge accepted his request.

When Snoop and his bodyguard were charged with shooting a man in Los Angeles in 1993, he was still a budding talent. Following his performance of “Murder Was The Case” at the 1993 MTV VMA Awards, Mr. Snoop Eastwood was taken into custody.

After being acquitted, Snoop gave a perceptive interview to MTV in which he discussed how the case altered his outlook on life and the subject matter of his songs.
