Starting this week, DoorDash DashPass members will receive a special treat. The popular food and grocery delivery business has announced an interesting agreement with Warner Bros.

Discovery, which will provide a complimentary subscription to their streaming service’s Max With Ads tier. This new bonus adds a whole new level of value to DashPass’s incentives, which already include special offers and no delivery fees.

The Max With Ads subscription, which is normally priced at $9.99 per month or $99.99 annually, is now included in DashPass’s annual plan, which costs $96. DashPass subscribers can now watch a variety of series and movies from HBO, Warner Bros., DC Universe, and other networks for free.

For those who want an ad-free viewing experience, DoorDash has not forgotten you. DashPass users may subscribe to the ad-free edition of Max for only $10.99 per month, which is much less than the standard price of $16.99 per month.

This is DoorDash’s first foray into bundling streaming services with subscription plans, following in the wake of previous partnerships with Walmart and Paramount+, as well as Instacart and Peacock. “It’s all about understanding what our customers want and finding the right overlap between services,” says Kofi Amoo-Gottfried, DoorDash’s CMO. “Max’s strong catalog of family and adult content aligns perfectly with our DashPass audience.”

And it’s more than just streaming. DoorDash intends to launch many cross-promotions with Max, including campaigns based on popular shows such as HBO’s “House of the Dragon” and the new DC series “The Penguin.” This means more interesting benefits and exclusive material for DashPass subscribers.

Discovery, expressed delight for the deal, saying, “Max’s partnership with DoorDash provides an exciting, complementary pairing of services with great value for consumers.” DoorDash President and COO Prabir Adarkar reiterated this attitude, emphasizing the natural link between streaming and delivery: “Streaming and delivery go hand in hand, and we’re thrilled to launch a coveted benefit for DashPass Annual Plan members.”

With around 18 million members and billions of dollars saved in delivery fees, DashPass has already proven to be a game changer for DoorDash customers. With the advent of Max, it’s no longer just about having food brought to your house; it’s also about getting entertainment. DashPass and Max have you covered, whether you’re looking for a blockbuster movie or a new series to binge watch.
