Kamala Harris isn’t trying to hide her Beyhive affiliation!
On Monday (Jul 22), the Vice President used Beyoncé’s 2016 Lemonade song, “Freedom,” during her first presidential campaign rally in Delaware. And sure, Bey granted her permission to use it.
Harris stepped out to the song, fueling conjecture that Beyoncé’s approval might possibly mean she supports her as the 47th President of the United States.
Although Bey has yet to formally embrace Harris, her mother, Tina Knowles, did so over the weekend. Bey has previously supported the Democratic Party, including Barack and Michelle Obama, as well as Hillary Clinton. In 2013, the music star sang the national anthem during Obama’s second-term inauguration, and in 2016, he supported Hilary Clinton over Donald Trump.
After a spectacular entrance, the 59-year-old delivered a 20-minute address in which she challenged citizens, “What kind of country do we want to live in: a country of freedom, compassion, and rule of law, or a country of chaos, fear, and hate?”
Elsewhere in her remarks, the former Attorney General and courtroom prosecutor lauded Biden for his efforts over the last four years while also criticizing Trump for his criminal record.
“I took on perpetrators of all kinds: Predators who abused women, fraudsters who ripped off consumers, cheaters who broke the rules for their own game,” she told reporters. “So, believe me when I say I know Donald Trump’s type. And in this campaign, I will gladly compare my record to his.

VP Harris has not yet been declared as Biden’s official replacement, but she has already received a record-breaking $50,000,000 in donations in one day. Since then, her funding has increased to almost $80,000,000.
Last night (July 22), VP Harris announced on X/Twitter that she had earned enough delegates to become the official Democratic nominee. She made a statement emphasizing the “two different clear visions” she and Trump share.
“Tonight, I am proud to have secured the broad support needed to become our party’s nominee,” the candidate said. “I am looking forward to formally accepting the nomination soon. Over the next three months, I’ll be going around the country, speaking with Americans about everything on the line. I am absolutely committed to uniting our party and our country and defeating Donald Trump.”
