Michael Jackson may be most known for his iconic singing career, but he was also an accomplished sketch artist, and his autographed drawings are soon to be available for purchase.

On August 3, Kings Auctions Beverly Hills, in collaboration with Kings Auctions Las Vegas, will auction off the singer’s unusual collection, which includes 78 sketch drawings of diverse pictures such as Marilyn Monroe, Queen Elizabeth II, Peter Pan, Andy Warhol, and so on. The location has not yet been disclosed.

The auction will purportedly begin with bids for the entire collection… however, a $1 million starting offer is required otherwise the sale would proceed to sell the pieces separately.

Kings Auction tells TMZ… they obtained the artwork through recent judicial processes. Prior to their acquisition, the works of art were held at a private art space in Santa Monica, California, where MJ frequently worked while recovering from cosmetic surgery treatments.

Roger Epperson has authenticated Michael’s signature on the drawings, and he has certified that the sketches are not prints.

This is not the first time MJ’s personal items have been auctioned off. Remember that years after Michael died in 2009, his belongings from his last home in Los Angeles, including furniture, paintings, and antiques, were sold off.

In reality, Kim Kardashian has purchased several of the late King of Pop’s possessions. She bought MJ’s velvet jacket and white fedora hat, which she gave to her daughter North West.
