Autumn Crittendon, of “16 & Pregnant” fame, died, and it appears that her family was aware of some health issues… TMZ has learned.
The MTV star’s sister announced the news on Facebook Sunday, writing a poignant note to her late sibling that has since been deleted. However, a source with direct knowledge has provided us with some additional information about what occurred.

Autumn died Saturday at the home she shared with her children, mother, and stepfather in Henrico County, Virginia. According to our sources, her stepfather discovered her unresponsive in her bedroom and summoned paramedics, who attempted CPR.
Unfortunately, those life-saving measures were ineffective, and the family has yet to determine what caused this. However, we are told that Autumn had recently been sick and complained of heartburn, and she expressed a desire to see a doctor.

According to our sources, she was diabetic and had kidney difficulties, in addition to high blood pressure. Bottom line: it’s unclear what caused her unexpected death. The family is cooperating with law police on the death inquiry.
The Henrico County Police Department is currently investigating the incident as a death and is working with the medical examiner to identify the exact cause and manner.
Autumn was best recognized for her appearance on season 5 of “16 & Pregnant,” which followed her giving birth to her firstborn son, Drake, whom she welcomed with then-boyfriend Dustin Franklin. Autumn has three children in all.

Autumn was just 27.
